About Us
Helen Elliott and Assunta Mondello are the publishers of "Expatriate Adviser" magazine.
Jointly, we have over twenty years' experience working with the American expatriate community along with extensive media and marketing experience within the international market place.
Helen Elliott is the Publisher and owner of "American in Britain" magazine and also organises the annual "The Expatriate Relocation Conference & Exhibition". "American in Britain" was originally launched as "American in London" but was re-launched in 1995 as "American in Britain". The magazine is now a successful glossy magazine published quarterly and circulated to 20,000 American expatriates and related organisations in the UK. ""The Expatriate Relocation Conference & Exhibition" was launched in January 1997. The next event will be held on Monday 5th November, 2007 at the Cafe Royal, 68 Regent Street, London W1 from 10am to 5pm. Admission is free.
Assunta Mondello worked for USA TODAY's European Edition for five years, the last two as European Subscriptions Manager. Assunta was involved in the development of subscription sales through joint marketing programmes with US corporations and companies wishing to target the American expatriate community. Assunta also worked as Display Advertising Executive for USA TODAY, serving key blue chip accounts in Europe.
We set up our business together in 1999 and as well as "Expatriate Adviser", we publish the "Products & Services Guide for Expatriates in the UK", an annual A5 guide for any nationality expatriate moving to, and living in the UK - the Guide is published in April.
In addition, we host www.theamericanhour.com , a website that offers advice and information to expatriates moving to, and living in the UK, and we also organise two American networking events which are held at the US Embassy in London and provides an ideal networking opportunity for American expatriates in the UK. The event is sponsored by key service providers that support the expatriate community.
